* A Note on scientific nomenclature for longhorn bee genera:  Recent phylogenetic research clarifying the evolutionary history of various Eucerini has resulted in the renaming of some longhorn bee genera and subgenera.   Freitas et al (2023) reclassify North American Svastra, placing them in the genus Epimelissodes; absorb the subgenus Melissodes (Tachymelissodes) in the larger subgenus Apomelissodes; and split up species of Eucera (Xenoglossodes), placing some in the newly resurrected genus Xenoglossa.   [Freitas FV, Branstetter MG, Franceschini-Santos VH, Dorchin A, Wright KW, López-Uribe MM, Griswold TL, Silveira FA, Almeida EAB. 2023.
